yeah bla bla my aprilai does 80mph or i got 70mph out of it today.

spent loads on big bore kits and racing exhausts and stupid 'boost' bottles etc.

its a ferkign 50cc. you'll either have no acceleration and an inditacted 70mph on it or have acceleration and do 55-60



do these idiots on mopeds realise their speedo's are almost always MILES off ????


i mean FFS i had an aprilia mx50 that would go clean off the speedo and berry the needle in the speedo housing so what an indicated 70+ mph ?? YEAH sure ....


just reading through the forums and then gettign a pm about how soem idiot has 'ported the engine , racing pipe, and changed teh gear ratio's' woudl make a road going aprila do a true 75 mph

I actually dont mind them, however there are times when i think 'you fucking silly ped boy', example. Last week i was happily riding along on my gsxr..when up behind me flies this lad on..well i dunno what it was tbh didnt really spend the time looking, some breed of 2p0ke.

Anyways the lad looked about 16 years old, skinny as anything..hoody and trackies on etc..and he was riding literally up my ass, weaving across the road..so i speed up right?, got upto about 60 and he was still doing it..

We got to some lights and he pulled up next to me looking at me, i didnt even glance at him but you know what he was thinking 'i r teh shitz'. Opposite lights go red, i turn and wave at him and fly off up the road.

But yeah the point...i dont mind ped boys, or any young lads on 125's, unless they do dumb shit like that.

But my 50cc bike used to do 70mph.

It was clocked by dad following going over the A19 flyover. Yes it wouldn't usually do 70. But keep it in a straight line, flatout, and yes it would.

This was a 2004 Yammy TZR50. It had an induction kit, race exhaust and gear changes... thats it.

I remember the good old days (okay, so it was only 2 years ago), razzing along on an RS50, lying on the tank - elbows tucked in. Once got an indicated 70mph for about half a second down a fooking massive hill, I was overjoyed for the next couple of weeks
