Hey.
My friends friend is selling a Peugeot Speedfight 2.
He says the only thing it needs is a 'CDI Bypass' to run.
He gave me a link for it...
https://www.pmtuning.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PT&Product_Code=08-PMDR72
I've looked around and found you can buy 'CDI' for around 20 pounds.

Whats the difference why is the 'CDI Bypass' so much more money than the 'CDI'.

Something to do with an immosbaliser?

Can someone give me some advice im abit confused.

there are 2 types of cdi when they come new from peugeot , one with an immobiliser and one without, if you have the type with the immobiliser and it goes wrong you can't use the other type, you have to buy the bypass one or find a good secondhand one with the keys and ignition ok?

the bypass unit is actually a cdi in itself, with a better igntion curve and no rev limiter (for race bikes)
