Nice.

I'd hazard a guess this things meant to have L plates on it?

Just a thought, You've spent all this money on the bike, And its still rolling on the shitty tyres they come with?

I'd be tempted to go buy some half decent rubber for it.

BHP is useless if the bike cant take a corner for shite.

Why do you have 2?

I admire all the work you have put in, but Hyosung’s just look a bit naff. You could have got an RS125 instead if a second Hyosung, much better bike.

much better...but also no where near as reliable or sound anywhere near as good.
The RS looks and sounds like a 125, ive had a mito before and wanted 4stroke after problems with 2 strokers...

Im not arsed about looooaddds of speed, im happy just commuting to work on something that works every day and doesn need a rebuild every 5 mins.
The standard hyosung looks ok... i guess half gsxr half tirumph on design, mostly suzuki based and not chinese...

Insurance is reasonable thanks Smile

Yes spent abit of money on it, and yes the sh*tty tyres are coming off very soon.

Both those bikes are fucking heresy and hell the exhausts are worth more than them Confused

https://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g12/adamck/4-18.jpg

Why, why would you do that ?

The amount of money you have put into both those bikes could of bought a real gixxer.

And Mugen is a Honda tuning company.

So many things to rage about.

Its like you bought a citroen ax and stuck v8 badges on, just to troll people in real life.

Hyosung Comet GT125R silver and black
£2,949.00

Its an expensive can but not that expensive Wink

£3000 (its new price) would have got me a gsxr anyways...

And why would i want a gsxr? because i have a GTR R staicker on my...GTR?

Maybe i like my bike for being what it is! MY BIKE Very Happy
And hell its also my money Very Happy i work my ass off for it, if i wanna "waste" it then i will.
Better than going out and gettin 'coked up' like the majority of 23 year old these days Smile

yes im aware of mugen and its history... and yes my bikes have had about 5 paintjobs, it aint easy to sticker up a bike thats never been race sponsored...

If i had bought a MITO or an RS or an NSR and spend all this cash on it you guys would be creaming in your knickers?? stick a slightly different name on it and its a waste of cash and shit?

There was once a time when people where laughing at suzuki and kawasaki for being japanese imported shite Cool
times change...

If you google for hyosung aftermarket parts you will find a screen, tinted lense cover, rear hugger, tankpads and yoke protectors.
Thats about it...
sometimes you have to improvise, find things that fit, make things fit and everything is a challenge Smile but i like it, it makes it different as its not been done to the bike before.
how many of you guys can say you have stuff that NOBODY has every done to that bike before?

as with my paintjob the tuning stuff was all favours etc... from friends and mates of mates.
i guess you could spend a few hundred quid with re-bores and pistons etc...
But for the track wouldnt you just splash the extra few ££ for the 250 or 650?

Thanks for the backup cyberglass, nice to get a comment from someone whos seen it in the flesh Smile

and you can get the GT125R for under a grand??
the 250's are just rarer thats all, tbh i think they would hold less value than the 125s as they cant be ridden on L's therefor less people want them?

Hi

Something is strange with that dyno run.

Putting those figures in to a little program and assuming 15:35 gearing (stock is 14:52) which is what would equate to the red line at 85mph we get the following graph of torque against power:-

https://www.alfa-pages.co.uk/TempPicture/PlayedWithGt125TorquePower.jpg

Now this is assuming some fairly odd gearing to get that power graph, but also shows a level of torque of about a GT250, and well over double that of a stock GT125R (and at under 2/3 the rpm). Also shows a bike that is severely struggling to rev out.

On that gearing the top speed would be just under 90mph.

Looking at that it would appear to me that either the dyno is reading out badly wrong, or that the bike has been bored out a hell of a long way but has major problems (ignition, fueling, cam timing, something like that) preventing it from revving out and producing torque a decent revs (and hence power).

From the shape of the torque graph (and the way it falls away) it appears to be in a far lower state of tune than even Charlottes Triumph 900 Thunderbird.

All the best

Keith

+1

I think they both look fantastic.

They look professionally done, and the design/layout of decals and the colours look great.

Once my RS125 is out of the garage (go figure!)

I'll be selling it on and getting a 4-stroke to learn on. The smell of the 2T turns me on no end, but both of my previous 2T bikes just suck majorly.

If I had to buy another BR10EG spark plug, I will attack Mr Aprilia in a frenzied rage.

That is all.

Thumbs Up

Wouldnt be creaming our knickers at all. The majority of the forum would probably say "Save your money and put it towards your bike test".

Anyway, isnt your 125 meant to have L plates on it?
Or are you too cool for that? Wink

as previously stated... im not into 'racing'
im not trying to brag my bike is the fastest 125.
It does what it does Smile

And there aint many people who reply that have done actual mods...
Like MADE things fit, made there own aftermarket parts and worked there own graft to get the bike as they want it.
90% go out, look at people with the same bike, buy the same parts they have and fit/get someone to fit them to the bike and show it off like they achieved something?

for example...
i sat down and drilled 24 holes, soldered 24 LED's and wired them up with resistors, hooked it upto my sidelight switch and re-assembled my frontend and headligth to see what angel eyes would look like Smile
Would have made a great aftermarket part too..

While is standard it might be more reliable (but likely to need more frequent oil changes, etc), if the power and top speed claims are even vaguely accurate than I would say even an RS125 would likely be far more reliable than a 4 stroke tuned to that extent.

What exactly has been done to the engine? What has it been bored to. What is the exhaust designed for (or is it just the can that has changed). What gearing is it running? Are the primary drive and gearbox ratios standard? Are the cams standard? How has the fueling been changed?

All the best

Keith
