Not sure WTF I know but here's what I do and apparently I look the same on/off the bike according to one of the girls I ride with. No helmet hair as mine is long and one length so I just scrunchy into a low ponytail when riding and loose when not. I only use tinted moisturiser, but a fair bit of it is on the helmet cheek pads, so obviously not on my face! Waterproof eye stuff (mascara and liner) and no lip gloss (messy stuff anyway!) just lip stain. As for being sweaty not sure as wear perfume rather than deodorant, but figure I'm not gonna smell as bad as all the blokes
Realistically on a normal (non-riding) day makeup only lasts a short while and I don't ever re-apply anyway, so I don't worry about it. I'd be much more impressed if someone came up to me and told me I rode well than that I looked good, but then I've always been more of a doer, than a looker! ____________________ 'The core of a man's spirit comes from new experiences'

Just keep your hair in a loose ponytail like Tonka said, and go for a low maintenance hair cut, like all one length or lots of messy layers! Makes life easy Either that or wear a Buff to keep your hair tucked flat to your back and out of the way.
As for the make up, i only ever wear eye makeup and concealer for my dark circkes, as i know that wont be rubbed off. On that point though i never wear foundation or blusher when i'm riding because my cheek pads suck it off my face, or it all moves down to my jawline when i pull my lid on! Sexy!
Seriously though, who gives a toss what you look like in your gear. You're female, you ride a bike, and therefore, you are a sexy biatch!! ____________________ "One moment can change a day, one day can change a life and one life can change the world." Siddhartha Gautama |

I learned not to bother with hair styles, no point on drying and styling my hair when I look like I was dragged through a ditch when I remove my helmet, fringes are out now! I am growing it out. Nothing like being blinded by hair and having an instant cows lick helmet effect. Just let it grow normally. Make up, well that stays on. Sometimes I wear a mask like in my avatar, ok all the time I wear that. I like to look mysterious (its to hide the ugliness really) Odd time my eyes will water if I have make up , sometimes I dont even bother. Make up isnt important all the time to me and depends on where I go .
quick nip to shop and non removal of helmet I wouldn't bother, pit for a ride out I look like transvestite whore. ____________________ All the breast.

As mentioned in this other thread, there is the hairglove.

I think someone was peddling similar stuff on eBay. |

Thanks for the replies.
If I'm just going for a ride out, I don't really give a sod what I look like when I get off. But, I have been riding to work, hence the question. I'm lucky enough to have a job that doesn't involve having to looking particularly presentable, but I still don't want to look like a tramp.
I wash my hair every morning, but it's not long enough to tie back so I always get a weird kink around my neck. It usually brushes out ok, but I notice it. For makeup, I only ever use foundation to even out my skin. As for the whole sweaty thing, I am a really chilly person, and my shop gets really cold. I always wear a big sweater, and I find that I can get a bit sticky whilst still being cold, if that makes any sense. |
