What kinda milage can i expect to get from a new set of tyres on a 650 bandit...i dont push hard ( if thats possible on a bandit )?

The ones that came with it are Bridgestone Battlax 020 on rear and 014 on front....so far done 3000 on them and i might get another 1k.

And anyone rate them Dunlop Roadsmarts?

can't help re dunlops but I've had a set of 020s and BT45s on the same bike and the 45s lasted a lot longer.


BT45s seem to get some really good reviews saying they have good tread life, good grip in the dry and good grip in the wet. They are the tyres I will be putting on the TZR.

If you're looking at Roadsmarts you may want to look at Pilot Road 2s as well. Thumbs Up

Tyre life will vary hugely depending on what exact model of tyre you fit.

I find that the BT-021's im currently using are very capable tyres, good feedback in the wet an dry.

I'm going to try a BT-016 on the front when it wears out. The front bt21 could do with being harder in the middle, and softer on the sides. Afaik the bt16 is a double (or triple?) compound tyre, so hard in the middle, and softer further towards the sides. I'm thinking that having a tyre that is really sticky and soft on the sides will mean that what little wear they get when i can ride twisty roads will help keep my tyres the correct round shape, rather than getting flat in the middle.

BT021s are dual compound too.
