Got pulled for speeding, not happy.

FULL STORY.
Went for a jolly old trip to Stourbridge to see some friends. Only a wee 168miles each way. Left stourbridge at around 9pm after doing all the gay 50mph limits on the M1 and M5 got on the M18 missed my exit to the M180 Doncaster north services.

Anyway after a short stop at the services after having to go down to the Bourne intersection. Went down the M180 on the the A180, came up behind a police car, that proptly turned of on a exit, kept chugging along, and then a car comes up behind me real fast, so I pull into another lane to let it pass, it pull over too. Starting to think shit he's going to fvcking hit me. I decided to nail it upto around 95. But he keeps coming driving what felt like 6inch off my arse. Changing lane constantly trying to dislodge the cretin. And basically zig zagging down the A180 for about 3miles, came up to my exit, left the indication late, then skipped across all three lanes in a rather controlled manor considering the circumstances. Get around the roundabout going across the bridge at the limit. The wanker comes up again. This time thinking fvck it just kept to the speed limit. Then I see a panda car, behind it. So slowed down, and pulled in. Low and bwhold the other 2 cars do too. Jump off the bike and basically run to this black car that had been driving like a complete cvnt. And nion ripped the door off raised my arm with helmet in hand, to smack the little cvnt, then realised it was a fvcking copper. Then the others out of the panda car come across and put me in the back of their car as the little runt, got out looking rather shook up at the fact he was about 1 second from getting a proper pasting from my lid.

So now I have 3points on the old license and £60 fine.

I just feel shit like I can't ride the bike in my usual fashion of fast but not silly fast (always below 90mph.) Just riding at a constant 60mph instead of 70. and stuff like that. It has just made me want to give up biking and put the GT on the track. If this is what this summer is going to be like.

But on a different note aprt from laughing at the copper basically having to scoop his duds out. One of the others told me that the police round here have been after me for around 6months, but everytime they get close to catching me I disappear. Made me laugh at the fact they were taking pride in the fact they had nearly killed me. And I had nearly beaten a copper to death.

Anyone else had this happen to them?
Surely they can't do this, it's illegal right?

I would place a complaint against the driver of the car that was tailing you if he really was that close, that's more dangerous than a few mph over the limit.

Was driving the car to my girlfriends the other day, the roads leading up to her house are renowned for speeding, and I often see marked/un-marked cars hiding in places. Well it was around 10pm and I shot across a roundabout a little eagerly and out of nowhere I car appears about 3 inches from my rear bumper, I realised it was most lightly an un-marked copper so kept to the limit, after a few minutes and realising I was not planning on speeding the car did a U turn.

If anyone gets up behind me like that I don't speed up at all, quite the opposite! I slow down slowly until quite a bit below the speed limit, if they continue to drive up my arse I'll speed up quickly to the speed limit and if they're still there I'll do the same again.

Also are you quite a violent person? Only I find it rather extrodinary you'd get off the bike, take your helmet off and attempt to whack a car driver with it.

I had an unmarked police car drop down to low 20s mph on a 30 limit road (a large one everyone does 40 on), and pulled right over so they were driving over the cycle lane and in the gutter - all so I'd overtake them and they could nick me . Luckily I saw the black box in the back and noticed the car was 2 up - sure enough when the car turned off I saw the white shirts with black vest over the top.

I don't mind them doing their job by looking out for people driving badly, but trying to tempt/lure people is not on.

You could request a copy of the tape if they havent 'lost' it already. Methinks you would be better off accepting you got shafted and taking it on the chin!

i'd have grabbed a handfull of front and then accelerated to the limit, letting them crap themselves (i have used this in traffic but do know there is a risk of them hitting you)

Just playing Devil's Advocate here, but the Highway Code specifically says if someone is being very obvious about wanting to get past you or is tailgaiting, you should pull over and let them pass, so even if the guy was driving like a twat it's still your duty as a 'sensible' road user to ride defensively and let them pass.

At the end of the day, you ARE in the wrong with what you were doing. I know that we all react differently in these situations and know how things can get out of control, but rules is rules.. if you break 'em, you take the risk and it's your fault if you get caught... nobody forced you to try to get away from the car!

Dude, you saw there was a marked car two cars behind, you watched in your mirror as it pulled in behind yourself and the car directly behind you, then you proceeded to remove your helmet and attempt to batter the driver of the car behind you, knowing full well there was a marked car right there, even if you didnt see the panda pull up behind, surely you must have seen it parked there as you charged towards the other car?

The tailgating thing is completly out of order but you're asking for something if you plan on battering a driver with a helmet infront of a marked car!

Because the police force round here, if it so can be called. Would rather catch me and you than actual criminal's I mean this literally, alot of people, who i know some have points on their license. Have 2 different things of the police, the group without points have no problems with the cops. The group that do, have constant problems with them pulling up behind and trying to instigate them to speed.

Got to ask why the guys in the Panda charged you? Surely they are not in a position to do so as they were not present during the "incident " of speeding. If you were to be charged then surely it was the one in the unmarked that should have done it?


Anyway, you need one of these, comes with a rear facing camera and records up to 8 hrs, just got one myself but yet to try it out. Would mean its no longer their word against yours

Now that is a good idea, been thinking of trying to find something like that so I can use it as a real rear view. Bit expensive but would have help last night. Definately going to get one and had wire it in asap. Tail tidy 1st though. so it can be properly mounted.

Hard wire for the camera took about 3 mins, has audio as well, the lcd unit charges from the mains and definately small enough to fix under the screen

I have mounted the camera forward facing just now, but can swop in a few mins, also helmet mount looks easy to fit.

Yer would mount the cam under the screen to see what was behind me and also get the bloody number plates. But whwere to mount it? Right in the back totally out of view near the shock? or drill a hole right near the top of the number plate?

Comes with a bracket to fix at top of tail, behind rear seat, would take seconds to remove/reattach after stops

For the 1st, i'd hard wire it all in and make it hidden with a tiny litle sticker notifying people its there.

For the latter, I would leave it running all the way through, especially if it has a microphone, so I could catch everything that was said. (If it was good enough of course.
