hi all
was thinking of changing the seat covering on my mz as its very grubby. could i recover it myself with the aid of a staple gun and spray glue or am i better off getting a company to do it for me. any thoughts  |

Can't see why couldn't DIY it.
Go to a fabric store or visit ebay and search for leather offcuts.
Use the old one as a template, heat the new one up so it's nice and supple and stretch it over... Probably be a bit fiddly to get it crease-free but I imagine it's a quick and easy job all in all.

Old leather jackets are cheap from charity shops. Get one really cheap with a bust zip, make sure it has big enough "panels" of leather to fit over the seat.
If you have a red MZ, brown leather seats look cool and as East German as lace-up motorcycle trousers with denim jackets. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
