Just had my tyre changed and noticed my pads are almost metal, ive only changed them last month, about 2 thou miles?

shouldnt be that worn should they, any ideas.

could be binding or damaged discs failing that hevy use i use a set in about 2k miles sometimes less but thats under heavy use on my ZX6R

thinking of it, i do use my rear break ALOT. im filtering mot of the time, so if im goign i only really use the rear (stops the front diving and i can swing the bike round using the rear) so it could just be a expence ive got to live with. But i just dont want to replace them every 2k when theres something wrong that i can fix.

When i was looking at taking apart calipers i read something about excessive wear is caused by xxx but cant find it again so I can only reccomend google.
