My guess would be the starter relay , remove it should be no more than two fat wires and one plastic connector. And have a look for copper corrosion on the terminals.
If you can swap another one over to test, the Haynes manual I used to have said something about hooking it up to 12V and it should click once if its ok and click off when the power is removed. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
