A few years back I was always trying to up my overdraft past the £500 mark but the beloved Halifax always said no. Then one day I helped out a mate and twice in three weeks I paid in £12k and withdrew a total of £20k and I received a letter asking if i wanted a £2500 overdraft. Obviously the answer was yes.

Kerching!
