Saw one for the first time today.... Oooohhh... Mmmmm.

Done a quick search online but can't find any road tests on them at all.. anyone know if anyone has tested one yet? I think I might have to take one for a test ride... but £13500.... and people say the Speed Triple is overpriced!! haha!

I'd be interested to hear about Ducati reliability these days!

They tested it against the Speed Trip in this weeks MCN, and the long and short of it was that it's pretty ace but the Trumper is a better road bike/bike to live with. I threw mine out when yesterday so can't give detailed info, but I'm sure most garages will still have a copy.

For a supposedly thoroughbred Italian bike, it's eyes look very Japanese. Interesting.

You noticed the similarity too!!!.... you spend that much on a bike and if you see it coming towards you, you think its a Yammy!

Although... if you see the lights on, the side lights are really cool... just the main light is a bit dull! Thumbs Up

Cheers for the MCN heads up NKD666! Thumbs Up

I visited a few Ducati forums. You'll find that they're on a par with Japs etc for reliability. the 80's and 90's bikes had issues, but the modern bikes are well up for everyday use. The air cooled L twins are the easiest to service at home. The more esoteric the more dollar innit. Certainly wouldn't put me off getting a Duke [EDIT] But it's got a dry clutch..Noooooooooooooooo

That is gorgeous!

RRP of £12,800 I believe.

I'd take one, for sure!

so glad they have taken off indimirrors, they look fugly.

if i remember correctly its an unfaired detuned 1098 right? isnt the 1098 cheaper than £12k?

as for reliability, wasnt the 749 the bike that had clocks that broke when they got wet? they were fairly recent bikes.

also how does a dry clutch work differently from a wet clutch? only thing iv'e noticed is that a dry clutch is noisier.

i'd still go for an 848/1098
