Hi, i have a 2002 yamaha dragstar 650 classic. have owned for bout 8 months and the black paint on the v twin is really tatty and i want to re do it. is there any special type of paint i need, or if i get someone to do it how much would it cost roughly?

high temp barbecue or engine paint
Thumbs Up a big spray can is usually about £6/7 Thumbs Up

I was gonna say 'coal paint' for coal-effect fires. Same stuff as above, no doubt... just a high temp black spray paint, you'll love it Thumbs Up

Get a gloss paint, Matt Black on the engine looks like crap.

Gloss will look cheap and tacky, use satin it's what most naked engines are standard.
