Hey guys, AJB and myself are planning a euro trip for next year (quite far in advance) and want to get some input from the knowledgeable peeps of BCF.

This is the google maps link.

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Manchester&daddr=portsmouth+to:paris+to:geneve+to:como+to:zurich+to:strasbourg+to:N%C3%BCrburgring,+53520+N%C3%BCrburg,+Ahrweiler,+Rhineland-Palatinate,+Germany+to:brussel+to:amsterdam+to:harwich+to:manchester&geocode=%3B%3B%3B%3B%3B%3B%3BFckKAAMd3wJqAA%3B%3B%3B%3B&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=50.275299,3.22998&sspn=12.002064,29.904785&ie=UTF8&ll=49.425267,3.273926&spn=12.213427,29.904785&t=p&z=6

The idea is that we will always be setting off to places in the morning and arriving at night time (we will spend a lot of time taking pictures/visiting towns on the way to places).

It's looking like this at the moment

2 nights at Paris
2 nights at Geneve
2 nights at Lake Como
2 nights at Zurich
1 night at Strasbourg
2 nights at the Nuurburgring (using the day to vist Luxembourg)
1 night at Brussels
2 nights at Amsterdam

We don't want to be carrying camping equipment so we would be staying at cheap hotels/ hostels. I am a little unsure about hostels (including security of any bags/soft luggage) but I think it will be the only thing within the price range.

I could probably drop about £1200 on this trip.

So the questions to the masses are.

1. Do you think the mileage is sensible?
2. Do you think the trip will stay within budget?
3. Are we being too ambitious?
4. How awesome do you think it would be?
5. Do you want to come along? Very Happy

Have you checked entire the route for any possible motorway toll fees and frequency of petrol stations along your route?

Are you using GPS?

European breakdown cover?

Also, have you considered getting private medical cover because the NHS European Health Card in some European countrys is sometimes only basic cover, so if you need medical attention then your 1200 could be gone. So better be safe than sorry!
