i have been told that i can drive certain cars on my bike license.
is this true? and if so, what cars specifically?
does the fiat cinquecento fall into the bracket?

you can drive a 3 wheeled car as long as you passed your bike test before 2000 or 1999. one of the two.

i THINK theres still a stupid rule in play that allows a 16 year old to ride a hayabusa trike as long as it cant take pillions and it must display L plates.

so what about quadricycles?
the likes of ligier and axiom, i know for a fact that these can be driven on a full bike license,
i have been told many different things by different people, i thought it was something to do with the weight and power output of the vehicle,
i have asked the DVLA as well, but as yet have had no reply

Quads need a B1 licence unless they're over 550kg unladen, at which point they need a B (car) licence.

yup like said quads and trikes up to 550kg need cat B1
quads and trikes over 550kg you need a full car licence ie B

if you passed your bike test before 2000/2001 you will have B1
if passed after those dates you wont and you will need a full car licence to ride any trike or quad Thumbs Up

unless you are disabled then you can do a B1 test on its own
but its very hard to find a test centre that do B1 only tests
