As the country groans at the return of Big Brother, UKTV Style introduces a new take on the reality show genre. We’ve all seen the shows involving celebrities in the jungle, husbands swapping their wives, rugby players being transformed into drag artists and now it’s time for something new. It's time for Watching Paint Dry.
One wall. Some paint. You decide.

Unlike all other reality shows, Watching Paint Dry will not be based on a ‘will they, won’t they’ situation or luring you in with the promise of potential scandal. It's the first reality show to do exactly what it says on the tin.

Every day a different kind of paint will be put on to a wall and you get the chance to vote for your favourite. Confirmed contestants include; matt, silk, gloss, satin, vinyl, eggshell textured and smooth masonry - all of whom are eagerly looking forward to their first brush with fame.

BB is only 6 weeks long? Either I'm dreaming or in the beginning it was much longer than that...

To be truthful I'm not a fan, but I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of people are stuck in there. After reading various newspapers and having them say that a white witch, asylum seeker, male/female stripper, ex-prostitute, a gay couple, etc will be there. I really can't wait so see what the turnout is.

Big Brother has always been ten weeks long in the past. I am guilty of being a complete BB nut, and will watch it avidly, as I have done the last 4 series. However its the only reality TV show I watch, I think its because it was pretty much the first of its kind. I sure can understand why people hate it though.

Problem is it is called a reality show but does anyone believe that the people in there are being real? If I were in there I'd be a right bitch and a bit of a slag as the public want controversy ad the hope of a broadcast shag. I'd love to go on but I have far too many skeletons that would be dragged up. Wink
