Posted: 11:03 - 06 May 2009 Post subject: Distractions to other traffic |
 |
|
This morning I rode to work in my usual manner:
jeans, trainers, jacket which does not close/zip up.
But it was a lovely sunny day, and I wore a nice peach-coloured lycra top with a purple lacy bra. The lycra top is somewhat low cut, and even I have to admit that there's a bit more cleavage on show today than normal.
Anita, conversely, had NO cleavage on show, and just sat on the back listening to her earphones in a manner of youthful and slender but passive beauteousness, whereas I was riding with rather busty and possibly blowsy aggressiveness. My hair WAS tied back, so I didn't look like a TOTAL hell-sent harpy, and I didn't have a stitch of make-up on. But still ...
So my question is:
Can I get nicked, do you think, for distracting other motorists?
I worry about the oncoming traffic being distracted . . .
At one point I did go past a police car, but he didn't chase after me. Quite possibly he had real criminals to catch.
All the way to work, chaps in trucks were letting me through. I'm surprised they didn't block my way so they could spend more time perving in their side mirrors, but they mostly let me through with a grin (and the occasional toot).
An interesting thing I noticed was that trucks in the West End tooted more than trucks on the A13. Could it be that white van men are grumpier out East? ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life.

Thread is useless without pics.
Heh, on a serious note, I highly doubt you could, no law saying you have to wear anything but a helmet.
As long as you wear clothes, no matter how revealing, I think it'll be fine. ____________________ "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul."

Do you think this looks like a serious thread, young man?
Do you even see Serious Cat wearing his Serious Thread crown?
The best we can hope for is that Colin1 will come into the thread and post an honest but serious opinion about my cleavage. (Although whether he is THAT brave and that hopeful of having me as a real-life stalker, remains to be seen)
Fuck its nice out there
Fuck its nice to be back on a bike

Does this recent addition to the fleet mean the Tenere is gonna be pushed even further to one side? ____________________ Current: Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, Honda H100, Triumph Tiger 800XC, Suzuki SV650 (minitwin) |

*bites lip*
I certainly hope not.
The plan is to put the Super Tenere back together and ride it like a demon (like I used to) BUT ... I had to get my confidence back first.
And the ninja is just perfect for regaining confidence: light and buzzy ... its doing a not-too-shabby job so far.

If you push it away any further, I will come and slap you.
Consider that a threat.

Unfortunately you're a bit too far down south for me, I think I'll stick to putting my own bikes back together in the garage ____________________ Current: Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, Honda H100, Triumph Tiger 800XC, Suzuki SV650 (minitwin) |

Very well.
I see you have Armstrongs, though ... https://free-mobile.smsix.net/pic/love-smiley.gif
I may have to keep you on board as my official advisor on those, as in the interim I may have acquired an interest in purchasing one of them also; I have a search out on ebay for just such a vehicle. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Thank you. That would be most helpful in moments when the Captain is unavailable for assistance or needs a stronger pair of hands than mine
Where are you based in East London? I'm just off the A13 near Excel/Custom House.

I keep getting very close to falling off the treadmill down the gym due to all the poor girls there that can't afford proper sports bras that are on the machines next to me.

I'm in Plaistow, right near the station, so really, really close to where you are. My other half lives just on the other side of the A13 to me, sort of on the edge of canning town/silvertown, so I know the area fairly well. I also have a garage, in case a sheltered working area is needed. PM me to work out details, if you like. ____________________ '10 SV650SF, '83 GS650GT (it lives!), Questionable DIY dash project, 3D Printer project, Lasercutter project |

Personally, Hellkat I think seeing you and young Anita during the morning commute would have ensured a fair few fellas had a lovely day too, which probably had a knock on effect all across the capital, so to you both!

I remember there use to be an Italian girl on this forum living in London, from a long time ago, that mentioned that she sometimes rode her moped through Rome while only wearing just a bikini, and goodness what if any traffic accidents were caused by that |
