just watched the new test thing on YOUTUBE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4W8F9qCNNg&feature=related) to be fair I dont know what the fuss is about. Seems pretty simple. got loads of space and if you can't do circles on a bike and avoid stuff, you shouldnt pass your test... Confused should you?

i know it costs more and its putting people out of bussness. but the essence of the off road part is simple.

whats your thoughts?

Before you could do the test in one day.

You also didn't have to ride to a strange town to take the test, which for some can be many miles on unfamiliar roads.

It also could have been done on local roads and kept the same test centres, if the government had just said to the EU, can we do the test in our 30mph zone.

Because the directive of 50km/h equals 31mph which is above the limit. We are only talking 1mph here.

But no, 1 mph, they did nothing, they didn't even request it.

I dont see why they changed it. Seems to me they want to reduce the number of people riding bikes, so by making the test more long winded and making training areas and test centre few and far between people wont bother or have less effort to do the bike test.

Thats ridiculous! Didnt know that, why do we have to do what the EU want us to do anyway? That has angered me! should be in mph and should be on local roads, what difference does it make to the eu.
