well as it says is my mate a nob he broke 4 bones in his foot and had emergency surgery a few screws and bits of metal that was on the 4th of may on the 18th he cut his cast off and started working again he says it don't hurt but hes got a real bad limp and I personally think he's a nob and me and everyone I know has said it so come on get them votes in so I can show him

Sure he is!

It probably doesn't hurt, cos there are no nerves in bones. Taking the cast off and walking on it will simply make the bone grow back bent. He could end up with a limp for the rest of his life, or they may have to break it again for him and operate.

My injury sounds similar to his. Tthe doctor said that the cast wasn't actually needed. The point of the screws and plates is because it will hold the bones in place better than a cast.

I don't know what his doctor said about putting weight on it but if it is similar to my accident (which it sounds like it is) then he is a fool. My accident was 2 months ago and I'm only allowed to put partial weight on it now.

I did exactly the same thing but I didn't need metal). Just because your ill/injured does not stop the bills coming in and with no sick pay only SSP, I had no other option but to go back to work after one week, although i was supposed to be off for 6 weeks.

Your friend is probabley broke like I was.
