I was worried because they are made in china but the build quality seems very good. Handles nice and feels sporty with the clip on style bars and great looking white clocks. Can't comment on the engine as I'm not allowed over 5000 rpm :p but the tyres grip ok and I'm happy with the ride.

What are the tyres that come on the suzuki en125. Is it Cheng Chin?

After a long comparison between the 2 I finally bought a YBR125. Actually each one has its own strengths..

The main points for the EN125 is that it has tubeless tires, gear indicator and a bigger tank - 14l vs 12l. The YBR has a kick starter as well as an electric one but I always use electric. I prefer the riding position on the YBR which has higher handle bars, better for long rides. Those of the EN are lower which can give a sporty look but if you are tall it gives an awkward position which can be uncomfortable. The YBR is also lighter than the EN by around 10kg. The EN comes which choke lever on the handle bar while YBR has a pull knob on the carburator itself (07 model, later ones of the YBR comes with fuel injection) .

As for the engines I cannot really say which one is more powerful. The 2007 YBR delivers 10hp (per the owner's manual) but I could not get any reliable figure about the EN. Personally I prefer the sound of the YBR which gives the impression of being on a bigger bike. The EN's exhaust constantly reminds you that you are on a 4 stoke.... putt putt sound...

The 2 bikes come from China and each has its own cool look & style but I prefer the build quality of the YBR. The engine looks well designed and more compact with everthing well placed. The frame conception is also different. the YBR also looks slightly bigger... Had a look at the dimensions and could confirm that.

As for the price in my country (Mauritius) both cost the same, so this did not have a big influence on my choice.

Both are great bikes and it is not easy to choose between them but I made my choice and am very happy about my Yam...

Yep... I 'm from Mauritius...
I prefer to reply in English so that other users of this forum can understand..
When did you get the prices? Got my ybr for Rs 71,000 on road in Oct 08 but the price rose to Rs 78,000 in 2009. The prices were the same for the EN.... Do have a look to confirm that.
The Grey ybr looks really great (saw in on their brochure), wanted one as well but unfortunately they don't import it here.. the reason they gave me is that they already have a stock of spare parts for the other colors and didn't want to bother about importing a new color. too bad for us....
So have you made up your mind?

Rs67,000!!!! well that's a great deal man!!! when I last saw the price they said it rose because the price of the Japanese Yen had gone up. It's true the grey one looks great but I like mine's black dress... looks classy and mean....

By the way, I did a little run against an EN with modified silencer this morning on the motorway... both are the same... I could easily keep up with him....

Another good point to note for the YBR is that it is officially sold in Europe and knowing that they are quite demanding over there as concerns quality and safety it is quite reassuring...

Hello Guys, I'm too from Mauritius.

Same Question YBR or EN 125?

Experience from my Dad's vespa: it was well maintained but
if it was well tuned: good FC, performance, a pleasure.
else u want to throw it away.

my car is fuel injected & (now 10 yrs) it has a constant performance.

In fact my trip is from Cpe to P. Louis. U no the trip: Highway, Up/downhill, T.Jam...

Recently went to the Yamaha dealer...end 2010 and still no fuel injected model.

Yamaha marketing Vbad, how ab their after sales and parts supply?

hope 2 get replies from you... Thanks
