Got some new boots yesterday. They are a replacement for a pair of Sidi vertebrae 2(sp?) My Sidi boots broke at the zip twice Rolling Eyes Anyone else had bother with them?

So anyway I was out yesterday with my new boots on. I hate new boots/leathers etc You can hardly move in them. I could hardly move my ankle Laughing They are a lot bulkier than my sidis were to, but I'm quite liking them though Thumbs Up

They look good. Edit Doh! Edit

I've used Sidi's for about a year with no problems so far (touch wood).

I know Goose and others have had problems with the zim though. Perhaps people should just get them fixed at their local shoe/boot repair shop. Laughing

So I'm guessing you got them for the price of a pair of sidi's? Lucky git! Razz They're cooler than my boots I think.

repair is for the weak, replacement is the way forward

and yeh teh velcro has gone which annoys me alot cos you get wind down the boots and they feel wang when not done up properly, but 2years constant use is bound to take its toll

did me good in a big accident, and still look ok

I had the original smx boots and the zip went after 8 months. A two month wait while they got sent to italy and they came back with a new zip, sliders and soles.

The lining went a few months later and the gaffer tape came out...

Now got a pair of smx plus and they are great. Feel really sturdy and portective and those vents really work.

The only problem is when magazines like ride test these boots they always get ranked very low due to protection. The smx plus can 8th out of 12 with a score of 27/50...

The test is in issue "june 2004". If people want i can scan it in, or you can just pop down the street and buy it.

I nearly brought them last week but went for the slightly cheeper SMX3, and i can hardly move in mine either!
I park my bike in my girlfriends garage at the mo and drive from mine to hers in the car (in full leathers/boots) and i got my feet stuck in the footwell and had to take the boots off to get outof my car!
(just to indicate the lack of movement in the ankle!) Laughing

I have got the same pair only in blue.

I think they are great, till you want to do some walking in them. Mine are squeeky as hell.

How do you go on with yours?

Mine don't squeak at all. They have a bit more movement in them today after being out in the rain with them.
