Hey.
Just wondering, as I'm sat here making a start with some parts. I'm Cleaning my leathers (pre France tour polish Smile ) and am using CIf to clean the white rubber bits on them and it's working great but can i use it on all of the leather too, then wipe as much as i can off and cover it in leather polish stuff I have or would using CIF on the leather not be a good idea and i should just clean them with neatural soapy hand wash and water? or something better (preferably household ready items)

I have those leather wipes for the sofa, so I use them on my leathers to keep them clean and de-bugged. Not sure I'd want that white CIF stuff all over my black leathers as think it'd get stuck in the stitching etc.

They're normally in the supermarket with all the cleaning stuff and look like the wet wipe packaging.

thanks. i'll get some of those for next time. i ended up just using warmish soapy water yo wipe any muck off - they're fairly new ...6 months, so just need to get rid of the flies and stuff. leather polish on them tomorrrow then ready for the slippy slidey off the seat and controls fun that follows

Not sure I'd fancy using Cif on mine.

Personally I use this Mustang Textile cleaner, it's great and perfectly safe to use on leathers.

I've used CIF on my leathers before.. on the white leather. Then i went over it with nikwax. Worked well enough and the leather felt smooth and supple afterwards. Applied cif using a scour/sponge. You can also use laundry detergent too. Bear in mind it is abrasive Rolling Eyes , so use caution, and remember to condition it afterwards.
