Went out for an early ride yesterday (no not 10 - 15 miles) headed off towards newbury on the A4 then the A339 which would have been a really good run if not for the behemoth land cruiser whose driver was clearly possessed by a somalian witch doctor!

For those who dont know the road its got some lovely sweeping corners with good visibility blah blah.
But no this muppet decided to be scrooge and would not let me past going to the lengths of half the vehicle over the white line so i couldnt pass.

So now your probably not asking yourself what did i do? Did i get out my personal pocket wing mirror seeking missile and nuke him? Did i use my superhuman strength to kick his titanic size heap off the road?

No i gave him the two fingered salute and turned around rode back and did the run again. Yes i was p1ssed off and yes he was a tit who drove in a very dangerous manner and obviously hates bikes but land cruisers are big and he would have squashed me like bug.

So i live to ride another day.

Lovely sweeping corners and good visibility, and you couldnt overtake him on a CBR6?

Doesnt matter how big he is, no way he could match how fast you could accelerate (suddenly) to come past him.

Not with oncoming traffic when he was obviously doing everything possible to prevent me from passing.
Whats the point in taking the risk ?

A point that you were on an open road with 'good visibility' but it was too much of a risk to pass quickly? Confused

Why were you so annoyed if it was so dangerous to pass ?

Very sensible - s'what I'd do, just hang back and keep out of harm's way. Not like you're in a rush to get somewhere, plenty of time to swing the bike round and take the run again.

I dont usually like being pedantic its just doesnt add up Laughing

If it was full of traffic, going back and doing it again when not able to open up the bike seems to defeat the purpose of being there lol

Why take the risk? For the thrill of life Laughing
