In terms of riding around and day to day commuting, would a split link chain/sprocket set be okay?

Reason i ask is i need to replace, found a Heavy Duty one (Split Link) C&S Kit for £45 with M&P, or they offer an O-Ring one where it is £70

Do i really need to spend the extra £25 for day-to-day use?

Thanks,

Perry

I had a heavy duty C&S on my XL250 and I had to carry a spanner round to adjust it through the day. Fit and forget an O ring chain, adjust every christmas if required.

I have a EK chain on some random sprockets, the kit cost me £50 and i've done 900 miles since fitting it and its not needed adjusting yet. Its cleaned and lubed every weekend, it has a split link on also and its fine.
