Police in the UK are encouraging citizens to report people who drive nice cars or buy expensive items to the authorities in a new campaign entitled, ‘Too Much Bling? Give Us a Ring’.

“The Gloucestershire force is encouraging members of the public to report people wearing too much ‘bling’ during the recession. They are also urging people to shop anyone who drives flash cars or buys expensive items without the apparent means to afford them during the credit crunch,” reports the Daily Mail.

Posters for the campaign indicate that the targets of the stasi-like crackdown are well-dressed people who own expensive cars, boats and smoke cigars. Apparently, police in the UK think that actually being middle class and able to afford a nice lifestyle is a sign of probable criminal behavior.

Sorry to sound Siggiesque, but it just goes to prove what kind of stalinist fucking police state autocracy we live in. Its like something out of Cambodia in the seventies, or Russia in the 1930s.

It actually makes me feel sick.

My brother was once on an IRA hit list(ahem removed now) because he was thought to be a drug dealer because he had a nice car and bling. He worked for his car, didnt drink or smoke and lives in my parents rent free and is very good at saving. He really needs a job now though but still has his car.

Same as what I done when I wanted a new bike , I saved when I was off road and pregnant for months. I bet my bitch neighbour will call that on me!

So something like this someone could report you for. I know plenty I wonder how they get things but its none of my business they are just better off than I am, hardly go reporting them.

Here we go, everyone will be dobbing everyone in.

My dad works abroad and I can't say we are feeling the credit crunch as much as others because there is less risk of dropped wages or redundancy... does that mean we are criminals?

When I was about 21, I had a mate my age, who had a job as a rep and had a brand new car as a company car.

He was always getting pulled over by police that thought it was suspicious someone that young being in a brand new car. He used to get pretty pissed off about it.

The irony is, he is now a copper Smile

I'm fine because I'm a fvcking tramp.

It's just sad that the police are so aware of how crap their intelligence is these days they just leave it up to the Daily Mail induced busybodys to judge whether or not someone is a bit shifty.

If you see your neighbour accepting a handful of coins from a smelly fellow on his doorstep then, yeah, by all means dob the cvnt in, but just because he can afford to treat himself to a new car when you're driving around in your Citroen AX limited edition, doesn't mean he's pimping hoes or embezzling the taxpayers money. Wink

Remember the words from coppers and pro-copper members on here?

"Don't tarnish them all with the same brush!"

I take one look at a police campaign like this, and this naturally makes me want to give the next pig some grief. So well done them Thumbs Up

This is proof they're cunts.

This country is led by theiving criminals, what else did you expect them to do other than turn the place into the new Fascist camp?

Anyway, this has been going on for years. On the train up to Newcastle every other train station has massive billboards with "Spy on your neighbours rubbish - they could be terrorists!".

Complete pysch-warfare against the populace but hey we're a gullable herd of cattle and we'll go along with this bullshit until it gets worse than ever before...

Very Happy

Going slightly OT, my Dad was questioned as a suspect for the Yorkshire Ripper (Peter Sutcliffe) murders.

Shocked

Someone i know was in the buying and supplying market.. quite well known. They were living in a shitty bed sit in a shit part of my town, they had enough money, and was signed on.. He decided to move to sandbanks and rent a nice flat there, those who know sandbanks would know its highly unlikely that someone on the dole could afford to pay the rent there.. The job center informed the police about the move and his flat got raided a few weeks later, they found 10k in cash and 3 cars registered to him.. But couldnt do anythin about it as nothing was found, he moved back to a shitty bedsit now, but i still see him driving around in a 56 plate range rover sport..

another story of someone i know..

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/dorset/7150042.stm

Found and took 3 million of him in cash and drugs..

I think the people with too much bling that look like lower class are unlikely to own what they have, i imagine they are in a huge amount of debt.

It's the chavs who took advantage of the housing market 3/4 years back and remortgaged there recently purchased council houses.

which is why these council estate oiks drive around in bmw's with there baseball caps and shaved heads and a wife who has bleached blonde straw looking hair, bright orange tan and pink lipstick with overly large earings, tight leggings showing her lardy arse ripples and low cut lilly allen style top showing her large saggy tits. Laughing

not that i have anything against these types Laughing Laughing

Heh. I live in the crappiest borough in London (Newham, for the fortunately uninformed), in a block of flats. There's this dude who talks like a proper Silvertaaahn wannabe, who drives a Maserati Quattroporte. I think it's his mum that lives here: it's clear that he doesn't.
I can almost feel the indignant rage of the the surrounding Daily Mail readers whenever he pulls up outside. Very Happy

For the record: I couldn't give less of a shit how he got the money if I tried. Even if it is through a life of crime, he's obviously getting something right, because he's significantly more minted that I ever expect to be.

Maybe he studied in school and became a businessman.

https://www.2muchbling.co.uk/successes.html

Note in the above cases how the capture of these criminals was directly related to the 2muchbling campaign. Rolling Eyes Maybe they just forgot to mention it in the articles.

LOL I hope someone reports me, would be fun wasting the cops time just because I drive a nice car and have a bike which I work fukin hard for... I'm not feeling the credit crunch anymore either but I'm not going to be put off buying things for fear of being reported by some cock of a neighbour... tbh it's the sort of thing my neighbours /would/ report me for as we've had numerous rows over parking, seems the petty sort of thing they would do Laughing

Different places different prices, you would be surprised how many people pay 5 pound a pop down here.
