Commute in the city on the trusty little 100 2t scooter. Its only a 10 mile round trip or so but is only 40mph all the way so does me proud. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

My place of work is about a mile an a half away from where I live but I still use the bike , walking is such an outdated mode of transport these days, especially when your lazy, like me. |

Very occasionally.
Work as a Community Nurse so have a Grand Cherokee as my work car and get 44p per mile allowance from the NHS which effectively means i don't pay a penny for petrol
Sometimes take patients along so a Ducati wouldn't be that appropriate (or safe ).
However, if I'm office based for the day then I sometimes ride along. 8 miles there and back. Don't mind sitting in the office in Kevlar jeans and a base layer t-shirt.

Unemployed I.T. whore, last job was was only 2.5 miles away and prior to that the main office was 40 miles away. Used the bike whenever I didn't need to wear a suit or wasn't absolutely pissing down on the way there. Didn't really care what the weather was doing on the way back as I'd change when I got in. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Yes.
10 miles each way 5 days a week.
Technical helpdesk support.
The only reason I ever got into biking was for the commute, I used to have to take 2 buses to get to work and 2 back again, and it would take me an average of 1.5 hrs every day to get there and then another 1.5hrs to get back again. The bike takes 25mins and worked out cheaper than the bus until I decided a moped was too slow and dangerous!
I ride whatever the weather except for 1 or 2 days this year of serious snowy/icy conditions that could've killed me. Today it's absolutely pissing it down and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride in, I'm just annoyed my recently new jacket lets water in at one specific point every time, making it look like my belly button is leaking!! ____________________ Previous: Aprilia Habana Retro 50cc (beauty), Yamaha SR125 (fell apart), Honda XR125 (nippy little commuter), Honda SLR650 (Geewhizz), Yamaha Diversion 900S (Smoooooth) written off courtesy of a stupid escaped horse.
(7 year gap), BMW F650 (Relaxing ride). Aprilia Caponord ETV1000 (Big and bold). Yamaha FZS600 (got me in trouble too quick!).
Current: Yamaha TDM 900 (Comfy, light but big, power when needed). |

Use the bike all year round whatever the weather. The only thing that stops me is if i have to do deliveries in which case its a sexy white transit
Its only eight miles either way but the traffic is usually at a standstill for four of those miles. ____________________ And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
