As per the title https://www.bikegeardirect.co.uk sell a brand called "Koord" consisting of items made of Cordura they also seem to be the sole UK seller.

Anyone know anything about who makes Koord? Google doesn't turn up much and the above site says its designed/developed in the UK but the textile trousers in particular look identical to stuff from an Aussie firm https://bikersgearaustralia.com/

If it's the same stuff with a different badge for the UK market I think I'll probably get some as I hear good stuff about the Oz ones from guys over there.

What do the BCF folk reckon? Anyone had an off wearing Koord gear?

I would be very interested on feedback for their gear, less than £150 for leather trousers and jacket both with CE approved armour sounds too good to be true.

Gloves are very good, have had a pair for 6 months now. Only issue is the sizing. I have large and they are a tightish fit, and i have not got big hands...

Did think about the textile stuff and the price, but decided to wait till my old stuff falls apart 1st.

Cheers for the replies guys, turns out that they are the same items just re-branded as Koord for the UK market.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and get some as they're rated well by riders over in Oz and I like the style of some of the gear, good prices too! Thumbs Up

+1 Thumbs Up

Gloves are bloody ace for the price. Can't comment on the rest of the gear though.

I've got the cordura trousers, £30 off ebay I think. They look a little tatty after 6 months commuting but nothings actually broken and they still keep the water out, can't complain for the price Thumbs Up

Bought my son a jacket and trousers for Xmas - He's not keen on the trousers, but the jacket is seeing good service. Note - watch out for non-waterproof pockets - lol - it's probably the same on all jackets, but Dan got caught out putting his phone in the outer pocket that wasn't watertight - oops.

Test rode the trousers last night, I have a naked bike so get a lot of wind blast, they were no where near as warm as my rev'it trousers but that's to be expected as the quilted inner lining is a lot thinner on the Koords.

They were comfortable and the pockets are well located, I will probably replace the armour with my Knox stuff as the CE stuff that came with the Koords doesn't bend as well to fit the contours of the knee when on the bike.

Have yet to test how water proof they are as it had stopped raining when I went out for a blast last night Very Happy

So yes all in all a Thumbs Up for koords!

The Gozo armoured trousers look good at £49, my RST rift pants are ok but i wish the knee armour would be a bit higher or stay up a bit more, or is it because i wear jeans under them.

Well got my Koord trousers yesterday and Im fairly unimpressed.
The thermal lining is VERY thin, you would be better off with some long johns. Seeing as these will most likely be used for summer use only its not big issue.
However, the little loop that attaches to thermals to the trouser snapped off immediately when I went to remove the lining. Confused

Fit is quite nice, quite roomy.
Build quality is average but I expected that with a small price.
No idea about waterproofness as of yet.

I will be upgrading the armour though as the stuff inside it is some wierdly shaped foam stuff. (apparently level 1)

For £57 total I cant complain too much I guess.

Thermal linings don'thave to be thick. My jacket one is really thin, but it makes a massive diffrence.
Its the trapping of warm air between the layers.

Nice to know about the quality though.. Thumbs Up

Quick update, these are not waterproof AT ALL.

Shower proof at best.

In the market for some new trousers again. Confused
