Is my true speed closer to 25? just wondering how fast I should go in a 30 zone, if thats right then I should be able to do about 35 according to the speedo legally right?

No. Your speedo can indicate 30mph, and you can be doing an actual 30mph. Or, you could be indicating 30mph and actually doing 27mph. Speedo's are allowed to over-read by 10%, but cannot under-read.

speedo's get more inacurate the faster you go. at 30mph chances are that the thing is spot on.

Or like my rs, when you're doing 60 on the speedo... it's actually 70.

Best to keep to your speedo speed at least, especially if you're worried about the police etc.

30.
It is one thing to worry on the "technicalities" of the indicated speed etc on a 60 as to how far you can legally push it.
But in a 30, stick to an indicated 30, don't try and push it, as it is like at 30 the Speedo will be fairly accurate.

Why would you worry about wanting to go faster than indicated in a 30 zone anyway? Surely you'd rather be going slightly slower in case somthing happened in front of you?

If the sign says 30, do 30. Rolling Eyes
