Hi i got a 12 year old goose today, and it makes a very loud (and you feel it alot too) thunk sometimes when turning it over. Kind of like putting a race rep into first when you have crap gear oil. but sounds like its coming from the engine.

Also who are the lovely people who said they would do the brake bleeding for a small fee... my new bike has an appalling front brake when it should be razor sharp. It just has no feel. I mean braided hoses and new pads would be nice too but i would rather just get my lever adjusted and some feel to it rather then go crazy... Im not that rich sadly.

Although i would stretch to tea and cookies too Wink (pm me if you can help)

Have you tried putting some elastic bands around the brake lever and handle (so it's closed) and leaving it overnight? It can help expel air I guess and make it feel more responsive for a while.

(I've only read this somewhere, not tried it myself).

Is this just when starting with the choke on, it sounds like the fuel/Air mixture is too rich, you should try adjusting the jets so that you get a slightly weaker mixture. If it is this then you should get it sorted because it could blow your engine.
