I'm off to cornwall tomorrow and just been checking the charts to find a bl00dy great low pressure area swirling around over the top of us !
Good news is that its slowly being forced north so should start to dry out a bit in the south.
Hope so or i'm going to be one soggy moggy by the end of the day ____________________ (L)users...Disk space is to good for them.

Heh. if it's any consolation, in the bit of London I'm in* (since we seem to be resplendent with microclimates here) it only seems to rain when I'm going to or returning from work. Unfortunately, the bike I'm riding to work at the moment has got an exposed battery and most of the wiring behind the headlight is exposed too.
Makes it all that little bit more exciting - the thought of getting 12v at 9A across the inside of my thigh is enough to get the adrenaline going of a morning...
I really need to re-mount that battery, I think.

You all harp on like this is something new.
This is what the weather is like in Britain. Always has been.
You remember the hot, dry summers because they are unusual.
I referr you to my signature. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

..and here's me thinking that the recent weather isn't actually that bad for this time of year! Recently I've encountered the odd light shower during the commute but mostly sunshine and only wind to hamper progress. Weekend before last I even had a nice rideout to the coast.
If the weather bothers you that much get a car you bunch of tarts. ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

Nowt wrong with this weather, I was talking to a couple of old chaps down at Glasson dock on sunday as it absolutely pissed it down. Waterproofs may have been handy instead of jeans though ____________________ Current: Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, Honda H100, Triumph Tiger 800XC, Suzuki SV650 (minitwin) |

It's like listening to the old women in the post office queue rather than hardened bikers with all this talk about the weather being bad. Sod the weather theres still plenty of enjoyment to be had in the wet, get out and ride ____________________ And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

We seem to fantasise about having a Mediterranean climate in this country, but the reality is warm, wet westerlies from the Atlantic as a result of the Gulf Stream. The hope of a warm, sunny summer seems to be what keeps us away from depression.
I was in Argentina last year and they have a fantastic climate in the middle bit (It's a bit extreme in the south)
I don't like the weather here either, but I can't do much about it ____________________ TDM850 |

I'm orf to Vietnam next week. I'm reliably informed that I'm going to get pissed on like I have never been pissed on before.
Although, having said that I don't think anyones ever pissed on me before... although there was that one time when the guy next to me at one of those long stainless steel urinals was a bit too close and I got a bit of a splash when he started off. ____________________ Harley-Davidson: The most efficient way to convert petrol to noise without the adverse side effect of horsepower. |

I had an awesome ride in torrential rain earlier, roads were more like rivers.
Gave my new textile padded waterproof trousers a real test and they stood up to the torrential downpours very well, I did however find my jacket is not as waterproof as it says, well it basically let all the water through so time to invest in a better jacket with this weather were having now. If the scientists are correct, heavier and heavier downpours are to become the norm, perhaps with a bit of sunshiney days every now and again.
