Yes. I skidded to a halt using my rear brake, spun the bike round and chased the little bastards up the road on the bike.

They were clearly shitting their pants.

You sure it was thrown, I had a rock (maybe even bolder Smile ) smash off the chin of my helmet, saw it coming but it was too quick.

Another reason why i'd never wear open faced helmets, would have taken a few rows of teeth maybe even the jaw if it had hit my face.

I once got some poo on my visor, I can only assume it was thrown at me as there was none/nothing around when it spatter on there Sick

Over the years had kids and some so called adults do all sorts of things. i was sat at a set of traffic lights once when a lad jumped on the back shouting GO!GO!GO!. his mates thought it was funny. Police didn't as they were at the other set of lights. not sure what happened to them at I had pushed him off and rode away.
Snow balls are the biggy in winter. Riding a bike in snow seems to draw out the prats.

Nothing says "Please hit me in the face with a reverse spinning elbow." like jumping on the back of someones bike uninvited.

Some utter dick did that to my girlfriend in York one night, scared the shit out of her. Luckily she had the presence of mind to stick the head on him with the back of her helmet. I have since tought her the spinning elbow technique.

The good thing about groups of chavs who do stuff like that is that if you deck the one who jumps on the bike, his mates just stand around him ripping the piss and taking pictures with their camera phones.

The other appealing thought I had is to wait until they were properly on then set off at high speed and not let them off.

You'd better hope not, or you'll lose your licence for carrying a passenger with no helmet at high speed.

In this situation I'd go straight for the back-of-the-headbutt. Spinning elbows could unbalance the bike, he could have an arm in the way, you could miss. Think of the times you've bumped helmets with a passenger on your bike, and imagine how easy it would be to wreck there face if they weren't wearing one. Razz

I would have accelerated away, hard. Would have taken them somewhere very very remote before I stopped and then hit them off. Far more entertaining.

Had some kids throw a bottle at me in town. Remember being absolutely blazing but it was full of witnesses so I could'nt really do anything. Think I made a post about it saying if you're kid come home with a fat lip and said 'some biker punched me in the face for throwing a bottle at him' what would you do?

As for jumping on the back, even though I dont have a pillion seat, I think the reverse headbutt or possible bouncing it off the limiter in 3rd at about 130 would solve the issue!

Now silly question,

If your pillion doesn't have a helmet, who's responsibility is it in a legal sense?

I'd have thought it would be similar to seatbelts, where the person without a seatbelt or in this case helmet would bare the brunt of the law?

No on motorbikes its the riders responsibility, this makes it alot worse if still on L plates as that would make it outside the terms of license etc too!

On all journeys, the rider and pillion passenger on a motorcycle, scooter or moped MUST wear a protective helmet. This does not apply to a follower of the Sikh religion while wearing a turban. Helmets MUST comply with the Regulations and they MUST be fastened securely. Riders and passengers of motor tricycles and quadricycles, also called quadbikes, should also wear a protective helmet. Before each journey check that your helmet visor is clean and in good condition.

[Laws RTA 1988 sects 16 & 17 & MC(PH)R as amended reg 4]

The way this is worded says that yes both people must be wearing the helmets, but doesn't say who's responsibility it is?

For instance say my passenger is wearing a non approved foreign helmet? Its them not complying with the law, isn't it?

Of course im not saying I wouldnt take this responsibility anyway, but its still a point im not 100% sure on..

I would rather not use my skid lid as a weapon to stove some divvy chavs face in. Straight up on the back wheel would do the trick.

With seatbelts it's the driver's responsibility if the passenger are minors ... so make sure you ask for ID before speeding off.
