Im working all weekend so barring an armed robbery or a lottery win im not. Please feel free to make me jealous with your plans of excitement and adventure

Recovering from a hangover this morning.

Picking up a C50 this afternoon.

Taking out the engine from my 70 later as I managed to crack the piston yesterday. Only ridden it 47 miles... Time for a 110 engine then.

Heading up to Snett to watch New Era racing on Sunday or Monday.

Bikes mainly then.

My plans keep changing...

I WAS supposed to be visiting my mate in Basingstoke, but she cancelled. So I stayed in, caught up with a few films, and friends via messenger.

The plan today was, to get up early and join my mate on two wheels up in Newbury, but that got canned when the 'newly moved in' kids next door decided to run their plastic wheelled toys up and down the cobbled road, right next to my bedroom, at stupid o'clock this morning.

So I may well wake-up properly...and go an enjoy the sun on two wheels later on.

Tomorrow, I'm meeting up with Tonka on the bike to go out for a play on the Dorset roads.

Sunday - All day R6 (folks taking son out) - so if anyone up for a ride

Monday - London with my boy, hopefully the London aquarium and a look at the Palace guards

I'm on call so I'm doing occasional jobs over the weekend.

If it rains all weekend, blame me because I bought stuff to waterproof my tents this morning. This will ensure it will not stay dry for any more than 60 minutes at a time.

I hate bank holiday weekends so I try to arrange to work on them. My bike club always has its runs organised for the weekend AFTER a bank holiday. Then you get the roads to yourself, can get served in bars/cafes and have no trouble booking accommodation.

Worked Friday and Saturday nights out on the ambulance.

Manic both nights. Often running on blues for over 15 miles to cover emergency calls across London.

I've never seen a person puke so much from their nose and mouth at the same time! They'll have a stinking hangover in the morning!

Tonight is my tun to have a few beers and not regret it at 6am on Monday! Probably try and get out on the bike tomorrow if it's still sunny.

Saturday stayed in with movies with the Mrs with an indian takeaway
Sunday had front row veiw of her fighting with the ex - then got to hotel, then out all night for £15 all you can drink.

Today, I learned how to weld using an arc welder, and then I jumped straight on to gas welding. Gas welding was a lot easier* than I expected, and since I've got access to the kit at work, well, I think I might just capitalise on this new skill by practising loads and loads on someone else's gas tab...
Sunday was quite chilled out. Went over to my parent's and helped my Dad fit a new power shower.
Saturday was weird: I went to set up a small network with a fibre channel RAID array and some Final Cut Pro edit suites for a small film company, and ended up building a gas barbecue for a rock star's widow as well, which was kinda weird.


*I said easier than I expected, not 'easy' as such, before you welding geeks get all stroppy with me. I picked it up pretty fast, and with some OK results, is all. I don't profess to be an expert by any measure.

Well thanks to my wonderful boss giving me the day off and my even more wonderful wife letting me out to play i managed to get a good ride out today.

Met up with Stelmer and went for fish and chips at Holmefirth before heading on down to the cat and fiddle which was a first for me. Beautiful roads all through the peak district and the rain setting in on the way back didn't spoil it at all.

Covered about 150 miles door to door and have realised i'm too bloody old to be riding a sports bike because i could hardly stand up when i got off. Numb bum, numb wrists and back ache time for a goldwing me thinks

I had a lovely ride out on Sunday. At about 7pm I considered going to blackpool, then realised that a) my headlights are too shit to drive home in the dark, and b) if I was there all night, I'd go on the piss and not be able to ride anyway.

Got home at 8:15, checked t'internets and found the last train to blackpool got me there just after midnight, but left at 8:40. Too late to organise anything. Chatted to a mate about my near-plans. We went out, still discussing blackpool and deciding we really needed a night out there some day soon.

6 hours later I was booking coach tickets online. At 4am, after being awake all day, we were getting on a coach to blackpool.

Got back at 2 this morning. Sunburnt after falling asleep on the sea front, and very drunk after discovering the Manchester bar with double jack and red bull for £2.25 and possibly the best jukebox in the world ever.

Now I'm back at work, and quite possibly still very pissed. Fucking awesome day out despite slight sleep depravation.
