Pigeon’s mostly.

There seem to be an increasing number of these suicidal birds doing this over the last month. I don’t know why. Perhaps it is my helmet Rolling Eyes Maybe they think it is another bird going past?

Or perhaps they are just thinking payback, my bike being a vehicle they actually stand a chance of having some effect on.

Seriosely though it’s not that nice. Is it me or the time of year?

I thought it was just me. Today I have seen loads of dead pigeons on the road, most of them fresh.

Strange you say it but, I hit a pigeon in the Discovery not that long ago. Shit rat left a dirt mark on the windscreen. Laughing

In the last week though I've constantly come across very brave birds standing in the road. Was starting to think that they are on a mission to take over. Laughing

Time of year I reckon ... mate got hit in the chest at about 70mph (officer) and it knocked the wind right out of him ... in the pub later he had a huge bruise come up ... almost covered the entire right breast.

It’s been weird recently. Often when I’m out one has flown out right in front of me.

It seems strange when you are in traffic, just ignore all the cars in the line and go for the bike. I haven’t seen any fly out in front of the car ahead yet?

Was nice of you to take him out for a drink to recover. Weren't they a bit funny about a bird perched on the table sipping a pint?

I've found the Collared Dove to be almost as suicidal as pheasants.
At least pigeons swerve abit.

I hit a pigeon on the motorway in the truck on Wednesday, it managed to inflict a significant amount of damage, smashed the sunvisor to bits, didn't leave any of itself on the truck though was hoping for at least some impressive gore.

What annoyed me was I had to fill out a 16 page accident form to account for the damage (new trucks), lots of sarcasm and diagrams of pigeons with speech bubbles ensued...hopefully they've got a sense of humour, with 16 page accident forms they must have Rolling Eyes

I'm a rather disturbed man, but my dream is to punch a pigeon out of the air midflight, whilst doing a reasonable speed.

It will happen Twisted Evil

Whilst driving to Boston (lincs) to pay a very nice man the deposit on his motorcycle (an FZ400 Grey import) i spied not 1 but 6 suicidal pidgeons who insisted on WALKING across the road instead of flying.... i would have loved to have squashed them but my mother who was driving insisted on stopping to let them pass....

Hi.

You should check your bike gear before setting off, someone is obviously sellotaping chips to your helmet and jacket.

It could happen?

Some good stories there. I guess I’m glad I haven’t connected yet.

My theory is that because my helmet is has a bird like design (and is grey black & white) and because birds tend to take off together they think it is one of there mates just taking off near by.

Anyway that’s my theory Confused

had a near miss at night recently with a big dirty fuck off type bat. Just manage to swing my head to one side and have it go by over my shoulder. Was so damn close I could just about smell the stanky bastard as it went by.

At least if it was a bird the feather explosion would be a sight to behold. Not sure I want to be covered in bat piss. Thumbs Down
