I want to wallpaper some MDF boards, what is the best way of doing this as I am guessing you can't just wallpaper MDF the same way you'd wallpaper a plastered wall?

i would make sure I had used a pva seeling agent first.

or take some PVA glue water it down 1 part water to 1 part glue and use that to seal the MDF may be best to use 2 coats Thumbs Up

But will the wallpaper stick to the MDF fine jsut by sealing the MDF? Got no problem sealing it, just wasnt sure if it'd wallpaper over fine.. It's only a section about 1600mm x 2000mm.

Yes once it is sealed then you should be able to wall paper it fine most decorators will use diluted PVA on most surfaces before wall papering

Hehe, my 2 most hated words in Home Decoration in one post: 'Wallpaper' and 'MDF'!

They both strike fear into me! Wink Laughing Laughing

Although I've never heard the two combined into a single project LOL!

I make dolls houses out of MDF and use paper to decorate them. So there shouldn't be any fears in having both MDF and wallpaper in the same post.

This be why I wallpapered some MDF Smile

Just needs new bedsheets to match, finish the other bedside table and two LED reading lights fitted to the board.

Laughing I am changing the bed sheets to black ones.. but not satin!

Next on the "to build" list is a built in desk and boiler cupboard in my computer room, complete with funky wallpaper, ambient mood-lighting and floating shelf for the monitor Cool

It doesn't take much to impress you Wink Laughing

I'm addicted to designing and building things now Laughing Seeing how nice I can make things without spending a fortune. The headboard cost less than £70 including the rope lights. Not bad going IMO. Just waiting on a price for some reading lights to go on it as well.
