In order to get rid of my nasty white plastic heel-plates....

...I DESPERATELY NEED to find some metal ones!

I have had a ring around this morning to most of the breakers in the back of the BikeTrader....and not much luck. Sad

Metal heel-plates for CBR400 are apparently so bloody sought after that no breaker has any!! Sad
The early 900's also fit, but no-one had any of these either! Sad

....BUT, I have found one breaker who has some....
You'll never guess how much he wants for the damn things .....!
....BLOODY £25 !!! .....and thats NOT for the pair! .....THATS £25 EACH!!!
Shocked

...Bloody hell, jesus christ, god damn it ! .... Evil or Very Mad

So anyone got an other ideas to where i could get hold of any....Confused

....At the moment, i am very tempted to just nick a pair off another bike!!

...help!

...anyone! ...

Crying or Very sad

Have you tried: www.part-locator.co.uk ?... it's found stuff for me most of the times I've tried it.
It's like the premium rate numbers you phone, who distribute your request to around 200 breakers... the ones that have it then ring you back. However as it's on teh interweb it's free.

Oh yeah, it's usually worth haggling with breakers.

Yeah, as Sweep says, as a last resort you can always find a fabricator to make some for you...

hmm...do you know if the Tri-Arm (NC23) ones will fit?...if so, then call:

Ebley Honda Spares
01453 751298
sales@hondapart.co.uk

and ask for part no: PLHELNC23
and: PLHERNC23

Now!

...oh, and they're about £10 each...

Vicky,

I heard that the early Fireblade ones fit the CBR400, you might need to take a trip to a breakers yard and measure them up, beats paying £25 each anyway!! Once you know if they will fit or not they shouldn't be that difficult to get hold of, but I very much doubt that the CBR400's heel plates aren't used on another bike as well.

if its 25 quid a pair and none are available, then spray the white ones silver for now, then get metal ones when they pop up.
i know you can spray, you did the rims.
dont shoot me for suggesting a cheap idea.

Lol. No the pic has been changed.
It used to show vipers ugly white plastic heel plates on her otherwise nice bike.
