When connecting to an ftp server, and uploading files it will occasionally drop the connection. It is now impossible to upload anything over 2mb without it just timeing out and failing.

In the log it just says opening ascii connection then times out, re connects and logs in. Tries it 2 more times then adds it to the failed transfers list.

I am using the latest version of Filezilla.

When I need to upload something over 2mb then I have to go to a web ftp client.

Any ideas what this could be?

Who is your hosting company? They might just be having capacity issues atm causing it to drop the connection, although that seems unlikely.
Have you tried some other FTP clients to see if it still does it?
