I would imagine they will keep the V5 as you're only leasing the vehicle, not obtaining ownership. As far as tax and servicing - you'd have to read the contract, but if it's not included then both can be clased as tax deductable expenses.

Don't know about the V5, but when I looked into contract hire for a commercial vehicle it was actually cheaper to buy a brand new van (small van anyway). I bought a pre-reg Partner for £6000 + VAT, paid the VAT as a deposit which was reclaimed within a month, so effectively £0 deposit and £130 a month on HP, with something I can actually sell at a later date.

Some deals include servicing, but from what I read at the time it's cheaper to do the servicing at a main agent rather than pay the leasing company.

ok its a £18k van that they are going to kit out with the franchise name and racking inside and the tax, servicing, breakdown, all parts for £425pm or £395 without servicing, breakdown and tax but after ive claimed the vat back its £361
i know i could prob get it a little cheaper if i bought it ect but in the franchise contract it says the van "should " be no older than 3 years so ill just give it back and get a new one at the end.
