If it is the DT125R trailie then the official Top speed is 62mph @14bhp
so 100mph is impossible.
unless someone else can tell me otherwise.
i think you can race him no worries.

The Dt should be derestrictable to about 20hp, I expect. It'd need some pretty major mods to get to 110.

The quoted crank power fig for a fully derestriced DTR (pipe+Power valve) is 26hp. They are much quicker in full power form on acceleration at least, but top speed is not so good being a tall un aerodynamic shape. It redlines at 10.5k which is 87mph max on std gearing. The initial acceleration may be better than a Mito or NSR due to lower gearing but at higher speeds they will leave it standing. Cant see how a tuned DT could ever reach 110, but might top 90 if you changed the front sproket from a 17 to a 19tooth, but then the acceleration wouldnt be as good. Old YZ motors had some interchangable parts with the DT such as the carb and piston, but i knew someone with a 160cc top end, and loads of mods, and he only got 95mph out of it. My KMX200 was only very slightly tuned, but it wouldnt go far past 90 even downhill, so i wouldent worry about a DT beating you unless your racing on an MX track.

there is no way a DT could do 110 not unless its been modified more than 125cc don't know if u can
i know about 5 ppl who got Dt's and none can go over 90 most go about 80-85. He also muct be bullshiting because the spedo onlt goes up to 80 on DT's
kick his but, but be carefull thy have got good acceleration
