I dont think he got one, i think hes seeing how vital it is that he restricts his bike.
If the police think your bike isn't restricted they have the power to sieze it on the spot if they wish, although you can ask for a deferred test or something along those lines. Not exactly sure how that works but basicly you'll get a week or so before it gets tested because you need your bike for whatever reason.
With regards to restriction, there isnt much point in actualy restricting it if you do get a producer, the certificate that you get from FI is not official paperwork dispite what they might tell you, just pop a couple of sparkplug caps off and get it dyno'd, should be sufficient to bring it below 33bhp

Cheers for the info guys, Its a GS500E.
I have not been given a producer but I believe 7 days is more than adequate for me to get a restrictor put in!
Cheers |

Have heard on here of officers verbally telling people they also need to produce a "33BHP certificate" (or words to that effect), and even writing it in the "other" box on the form.
Which is stupid, because the forces themselves seem to have admitted there is no such 33BHP document!
However, as yet when it actually comes to crunch time, no one's been arrested for failure to produce a "33BHP certificate", even when they didn't do so.
To ditto what others have said, they can take it away to test it if they so desire.
Check my website for more information: https://blackmotorcycle.webs.com, the posts regarding these certificates are linked in the last couple of paragraphs (comments/corrections for and about the website are invited by the way, PM will do fine ) |
