ok i rode this bike into the garage 4 years ago running perfect
now it wont run at all
so far ive changed the fuel
changed the plug
stripped n cleanede the carbs
all im getting is the odd back fire.........through the carbs!!!!

any ideas any one?
if i dont get this sack of cack running soon its going on ebay as a none runner

battery?

I assume you meant plugs.

Is it turning over? Are the plugs getting wet with fuel?

Check wiring also as connections/wires may have deteriorated.

no i ment plug as in 1 its a single cylinder trail bike with twin carbs and single plug
yes its turning over freely its sparking hence the back fire through the carbs

just removed rocker cover to check for sticky valves there fine
sombody anybody please give me some other ideas

plug dosnt seam wet??? any ideas?
had plug out and got a constant spark
battery is a snap on jump pack more than enough for any bike

its as if its sparking on the inlet stroke maybe the stator plates loose? its a pig to get to but i'll chech that tomorrow!
compression is in the green on my tester

i even tryed to start it with out any carbs spraying easy vstart in inlets just back fires through inlets as it does with the carbs on

tryed petrol down the bore still no luck grrrrrr im so pissed off with it now

tryed a new ht lead and cap and cleaned earths no change

looked at stripping the stator but have to drain oil and strip shit loads off to get to it so will have to wait till i have more time

going cornwall next wee on the zx6r so will be a couple of weeks time #

thanks for the help/ideas will keep you informed when i get chance to look again
