I nod to 125's, I always liked it when people nodded to me when I was on my 125 so I did the same.

Plus I think it makes them feel more like bikers and want to go further (do their bike tests) - By way of encouragement.

Lol you got to remember that not all learners will expect it! I only know because a mate told me bikers generally nod at each other, i'd probably have not even noticed for a while otherwise!

I nod to anyone really, except for people i don't consider 'bikers' if you wish i.e kids riding scoots in tshirts.

slightly straying form the topic but who nods at a group of riders?
ive resorted to giving a little wave because i end up nodding constantly on sunny days Embarassed

I always give an extra enthusiastic nod to L plater's. I probably look really strange which would explain why i don't tend to get many back.

This L plate on the mudguard - is it legal?

I'd much prefer to pop my L plate onto the mudguard but I don't fancy getting pulled

I see the same 3 L-platers on the way to and from work each day. I always nod at them, its more out of habit, but they dont nod back. But by the look of sheer terror and total concentration slapped across their chevy chases i think they dont even notice me lol

I used to. Dont really bother now because most of them are too bothered about how bright their neon lights are to notice I've nodded.

I nod at most people, unless they are riding like a tw@.

Don't seem to get many nods at all these days... Maybe *I* am a twat? Laughing Embarassed

If it's a group, I usually do a slow nod, more like tilting my head towards them. If they're spread out over a distance, I usually lift 2 fingers off the bar and give them a little "peace" kinda thing Laughing Someone did I to me, and I lol'd.

If I'm really stomping along and need both hands on the bars, I'll flash twice.

im and l plater (Hopefully not for long though). give/get plenty of nods, but i haven't got an L plate on the front (new shape RS), so people probably don't realise its a 125.

i'll give nods to other l platers providing it's got gears Laughing also no nods to kids that look really pissed off for some reason whilst riding their peds.

always appreciate a nod though, got carried away once and gave a nod to a copper as i just thought it was a chap with a hi vis, he didn't nod back... lol

I think flashing is a little distracting! How do you do it with both hands on the bars? I find the buttons on my jeans a little tricky with no hands. Laughing
