Bike tax

I bought a bike yesterday, Hyosung GT125 Comet, bloody nice bike if im honest!
It has no tax and is an 08 model, so i have no MOT certificate.

What i have is the new keeper supplement, and my insurance documents, is this all i need to tax it with at post office?
reason being im going to work tomorro, and cant take the car as it failed MOT on emissions, shame 50cc mopeds dont.. grrr
So i have a post office opposite my house, and im hoping i can go in with the new keeper slip and my insurance and purchase my tax, is this right?

on dvla vehicle enquiry it says "Date of Liability 01 04 2010"
being an 08, MOT is 2011, so is the liability my tax?

If it is not taxed, it will be SORN'd. The date of liability is probably the SORN renewal date.

Did you ever think of just going into the post office and finding out?

Go to the post office, get a form for vehicle licence (road tax) from the box on the wall (or ask for it at the counter).

Fill it in, show the insurance and bit of logbook you have, pay the money, take the tax disc given to you. The post office will take the V5 bit off you and send it to DVLA free of charge too.
