I'm having to do a 30 mile each way commute which is a bit pricey on my CBR (I get good fuel economy but it's the consumables etc.) so was thinking of getting a commuter of some sort, like a gpz500.

My girlfriend has now decided she wants to learn to ride, however, which has got me thinking I should get a 125 so she can use it too Rolling Eyes Now I know the sensible option is a cg125 but I quite fancy reliving my youth with a two stroke like a TZR125. Is that a terrible idea? Can't really remember what my teezer was like on fuel but I guess once you factor in fuel economy, oil consumption and inevitable maintenance requirements it wouldn't look like a cheap option at all. The other thing is the commute involves some motorway and the extra 10mph I could get out of a 2 stroke over a CG is quite appealing. Finally, for some bizarre reason, I've always had a soft spot for CB125Ts, how do these compare to a CG in terms of speed and economy?
