retap the hole/thread with the next size up mate,
basically go to a grage and ask them to do it unless you wana buy a cutting/trapping (whatever its called) set, probably be able to get them from places like halfrauds etc
basically its like a oversized bolt that you screw into the hole and as it goes it cuts a new thread (slightly larger than the original) then you simply use the next size bolt up to attach the exahuast
hope this makes sence (I tad tired)

Hi Mate,
Unless you're doing it yourself I'd avoid retapping the thread, take it to your local bike shop / pet mechanic and get a helicoil put in it. This is a replacement thread which is screwed into the hole and allows you to keep the standard thread size ... and it's cheap!
