Paint strippers....

Can anyone recommend a good easy paintstripper?

Have always used NitroMorse but it seems to be pretty crap lately. I need a load of old hammerite pulling off a lot of intricate brackets and a swingarm to put fresh paint on.

Sanding them will take hours upon hours......

Nitrosmorse is quality stuff works everytime for me, are you giving it enough time to works its way into the paint, I was being impatient before and was not giving it enough time causing it not to work probably.

find a local company that does powder coating and ask them to chuck your brackets in the stuff they clean their carriers and hooks with wont cost them anything and if you ask them nice they'll do it for free

Hammerite, especially when brushed on, is quite resilient to Nitromors in my experience. Shot blast or heat + wire brush sorts it mind.

To make nitromors work you really need to follow the instructions and dab it on, leave it, then dab on some more prior to removal.

To remove hammerite I run a blowtorch over it first and scorch the top bit off, then nitromors does a good job on the rest.
