I really doubt it was staged. I could see from the start she was a loonie...
Like they'd ask her questions and she'd answer something completely unrelated, like she was on another planet. Probably a hard alcoholic. (happens when you sit alone with your cat for 15 years)

My personal take on this...

Simon Cowell and his publicity machine are to be congratulated in contriving putting Susan Boyle up in the Priory (or wherever) and having the entire media concentrate on that rather than Diversity, the actual winners of the contest.

Of course this is nothing to do with the fact that Simon will find it difficult making money out of a dance troupe and a lot, lot easier with Susan Boyle. Oh no, nothing to do with that whatsoever

I haven't really seen much about it to be honest, but I certainly won't believe what the media have said about it all...they just want a good story.

I think it's sad that someone who can be pushed into instant stardom and the limelight, cannot get proper counselling and support. It must be a tough thing to have to go through, for anyone.
