Hi,

The BBC are making a new six part documentary called the Bank of Mum and Dad.

You may have seen us at the BMF rally in Peterbrough. We're looking for people aged 21-35 with an appetite for spending money on interesting things. BBC2 is currently producing a new primetime series for transmission this summer called THE BANK OF MUM AND DAD

Aged 18-35 and up to your neck in debt? Living a Rolls Royce lifestyle on Mondeo money? Spending more each month than you earn? Does this sound like you or someone you know? .

Six volunteers will allow their mum and dad to move into their house for an intense fortnight, taking complete control of every penny they earn.

In a new series of programmes, BBC Two will explore what happens when inter-generational views on debt are forced together.

So if you are an over spender or the mother or father of someone who is then contact us today to find out more on:

Freephone 0800 032 7032
email BOMAD@bbc.co.uk
or text BOMAD and your full name to 83199 (standard text rates apply)

We really want people with interesting lifestyles. Bikes/racing would be fantastic so please email us today!!!

If we get a biker on the show they can put their point of view across. Hopefully, we'll be able to film them at one of the large events like the BMF rally. It was a fantastic day. Loved every minute of it.

I'm not sure this should be classed as spam really. Possibly being a little harsh here. Penny Coin Penny Coin

I don't think its harsh. It's an advert for something people are not very interested in. Penny Coin Penny Coin

Whenever a TV company wants to portray a certain aspect of a subculture, they'll film hours of what the subject thinks is useful footage then edit it to get whatever point of view they want across to the viewer.
The BBC wanted to make a documentary about racist punk bands in Bradford some years ago so filmed a young punk band, got them drunk and encouraged them to do a few 'heil hitler' signs to the camera - bingo, one racist punk band.

I thought that bikers spend loads of cash on their bikes? Also, 3 out of 5 people in the country are in debt. Therefore surely some bikers must be struggling and need help with their finances. I'm sure there are people who read the forum who need our help.

I think the SPAM ratings are harsh.

"Use this reason only if you spot a blatant piece of unsolicited commercial advertising, similar to what you would term junk mail."

A post asking for people for a TV series does not fit into any of the above categorys. They're not trying to advertise the BBC, they're not trying to sell you anything.

As it's the BBC we can't pay any contributors on the show. They'd get sound financial advice and a chance to get out of the debt they're in. As it's a programme about debt we wouldn't see them out of pocket. THey'd be covered for all expenses, time off work etc.

If you know anyone who might be interested then tell them about it. If you've got kids who are borrowing off you and have no money sense then get them to call.

I agree that the post is not spam, nothing is being sold, advertised yes, but I think it's reasonable.

It 'boars' you? - don't bring wild animals into this. Razz

If you don't want to read it then don't. Glance over it once and leave it alone if it bores you.

Arrow It's not spam.

Arrow Some people may be interested.

Arrow Yes, it does make a difference, the spam rating mullers the poster's karma a lot more significantly.

Once you've finished your exams you've got a 3 months holiday to look forward to then university. You've got the easy life. Though the Max Power website did brighten up my day.....! I got loads of abuse from that one.
