As i currently have:
a) no job
b) no bike
c) no car

I thought i'd cheer myself up a bit, so i went out and bought a car:

https://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj243/Andy_B_photos/2.jpg

For the car anoraks/blind/stupid, it's a N/A JDM Mk2 MR2 G-limited. I went for the Jap-spec as it had (in order of preference) climate control, an LSD, slightly more punt than the UK model (about 10bhp woohooo!). Didn't fancy a T-Bar, as i've already had one of them (which a g/f of the time destroyed by exiting a wet roundabout backwards and interfacing with a dual-carriageway crash-barrier)and they weigh quite a bit more (all the bracing for the roof, see).
Now, (stand by for the hilarity) i suppose i shall have to change my BCF username to MisterTwo.
Ah-ha-ha-ha.

Embarassed

Was the BEAMS 3SGE ever fitted in the mk2 2?

I believe so, some of the late model SW20s had them - think they were only in G-limited models - SW20s had either 3SGE or 3SGTE.
Why?

I had a rev1 mk2 for a couple of years, only sold it because I needed the money to go traveling Sad
They sound good with an aftermarket airfilter kit, the induction roar from a few inches behind your head is awesome Cool
But like your girlfriend found out, a bit of a handful in the wet.

Given that i'm in my mid-thirties, married and have 3 kids(4 come end of August), i'm a little past caring whether people think i'm a gheyer or not.

I've proved the fortitude of my seed, and can stand proudly, arms and legs akimbo, crotch thrust forward in a manly fashion - before i climb into my bright yellow crimper-mobile and slide ungracefully backwards into the nearest ditch or hedgerow.

I'm off down to the local Maccy D's carpark now, to impress 14 year old girls 'wiv me diffin, innit, bruv'.

I had a rev5 UK car. It didn't have climate control but IIRC they all have a LSD. Watch those wheels. The suspension is Macpherson strut so it doesn't handle road camber very well. This means that if you fit super low profile tyres to huge rims, your contact patch will not be the same as if you use 15" wheels.

Take it easy in the wet! Smile

Get some smaller wheels on it, get rid of the yellow, then chop it in for a mk1, and you'll be sorted.

To make you all ultra-jealous, my car has the original Jap floor mats which are embroidered with the legend:
A man in dandism. New rich and sports.

You gotta love our little yellow chums and their own peculiar brand of Ingerish.

Most week nights - nothing quite like an al fresco fap to ease the tensions of a busy day.
What annoys me is the bloody cyclists - there i am with a clenched jaw, a bead of sweat on my brow, gurning my way to the vinegar strokes when some beardy brummy bastard cycles past and i have to momentarily tuck my old chap away and start from scratch again.
Wankers, the lot of 'em.

My dads had 3 MR2's, all were MK2's.

I believe hes had one rev 1 (which he dropped the arse out of, twas coughing blue smoke), a rev 3 (which he sold for the hell of it) and another rev 3 T-bar (which was stuck in the garage awaiting new brake disks and pads for 8 months... eventually sold on ebay with brake disks and pads in its boot Laughing).

Oh they are mint drifters Very Happy

I remember when I was nout but younster, my mate had a mk 1, and decided to give 4 of us a lift home from the pub. 5 people in a mk1 is a challange, he was driving, 3 in the front seat and I managed to fit under the bonnet! Shocked

Just curious is all, its a cracking engine, experienced a Celica BEAMS, think it would be even better in the 2.
