So far initial impressions are that the brakes are stronger, the ride is much stiffer (arse off seat!), it puts you a lot more forward over the bike in comparison to the cbr, feels beefier at low revs, when i tuck in it feels good that you lay on the tank! Sounds better too!

Thumbs Up

the seat height was quoted at 825mm, the seat mustn't be that wide because i can get my toes down the same as the cbr and thats supposed to be a fair bit shorter seat height wise. I was concerned with this because im a short ass (5' 6" with a 30" inside leg)

so far i love it Twisted Evil

Buying a Kwak instead of a seven-fiddy gixer = fail.
Actually, buying anything other than a gixer = fail.
Whatever were you thinking......??

heh, gixxer would have been nice, but i didnt fancy finance. next choice was the b1h!

The price was what i considered to be as far as i would have gone for a b1h, but i did so because of the can, braided lines, double bubble, meta alarm, bungs, rear bobbins, tail tidy etc

Iv gone over the bike with a fine tooth comb, it has a couple of minor stone chips and needs rear brake fluid topping up as thats quite low, thats about as far as it goes for things wrong with it!

For rear brake oil, assume its DOT4? Might flush it out and rebleed them with fresh oil, is this difficult without a bleeding kit?

Going to change oil and filter for peace of mind also, its only done 10.5k, but last service was at 6k so about due. Ill still give it its full service at 12k to keep up with stamps

was thinking some shorty leavers, and maybe a dampner, not sure what else to do to it

i was toying with the idea of the black ones, but decided for green in the end, i think it looks awesome!

Had a 3 hour ride on her wednesday, thought id find some roads. Stopped once for fuel, and i have to say after the 3 hours, my back, knees and legs hurt, but so worth it! Do notice the difference in low down torque compared to the cbr when getting through traffic

took it for a quick blast on the motorway as i was going to be very late to open the pub at noon, this is my first time using a double bubble screen, tell you what, makes a lot of diff comapred to the standard one on my old cbr. i was pretty much sat up until around 110mph when i tucked in a bit

really do love this bike, might stick a new pair of tyres on though, front twitched over some wet tarmet on a corner, which was a bit nerving! Will look through some tyre threads and see whats best, wont start yet another thread which seems to be happening last few days. Its pilot sports on the moment, few mm left on them in the centre

decided i prefer right handers too, you can see more compared to the majority of leftys

Doesn't really need one, getting the rear shock sorted calms it down and generally makes it more rideable. That's a better way to spend £250-£300 IMO.

O and Corsa IIIs or Power 2CTs are pretty common tyre wise.

Openly being a 'GSXR-fan-boy' on a public forum = epic fail.

theres something about the B1 (or whatever that model is) which seems a bit off to me, it looks far too upright at the front. perhaps it looks a bit squashed/stubby at the front.

no doubt an awesome bike to ride of course.

well steering lock is on in that pic, its not been crashed either, i actually really love the front, think its the lights that set it off! not really noticed if the angle is a bit steep or not
