It's not particularly tinted at all...but it will block the sun out a little better than the clear one

...for practicality, get a yellow one...for coolness, get a dark or iridium one...

Iridium and dark tint are pretty much the same from inside the lid. And both Nice and Illegal just in-case you wanted some extra points.
I have seen 3 friends (2 riding with me to a rally) get pulled and done for dark visors. Police don't like us and we keep giving them excuses to have a go. Write to your MP if you wanna make a difference.
End of speech.... Smile

you could always use the sticky visor inserts - we have silver ones and they are not illegal cos you can take them out. They stay in pretty well.

Mmm, that may be slightly dubious. Technically you are modifying the helmet and visor, and if they wanted to get really nasty about it they could still do you. Never heard of anyone being done for using a modified BS marked helmet and visor

All the best

yeh they cant do you becuase its effectively the same as sunglasses seeing as it can be torn out - i use the smoke grey ones.
for some reason the goevernment/police seem to think we are incapable of changing a visor.

The thing that bugs me about past conversations I have had on the subject is the fact that people think I wouldnt have the sence to take the thing out if it gets dark / rainy. why would riding a bike automatically put me in the 'not enough sence to get in out of the rain' catagory?

As with visors there are some legal and some illegal inserts. You're still not allowed pitch black or iridium on an insert. Dunno why as they're all removable

Afraid it is different. You can, theoretically, be done for riding wearing glasses / sunglasses with the visor up, as the glasses are then techincally eye protection and need the appropriate BS stamp (BS4110XA, YA or ZA)

All the best

I have a Blue Roof with the Irridium Visor and its great !!

You're not allowed to wear a tinted visor on your bike but there's no problem with you riding in glasses ( sharp bits of glass right next to your eyes!!!!)
