If you haven't watched it yet I suggest this is as far as you go.

Talk about a mixed bag of leaders. I know it all ended up pretty much as expected in one way or another but talk about a cracker of a race.

Who would have thought either Melandri or Vermeulen would have been leading the race.
For a short time there i thought each of them could have taken it. Shocked . Ok not really but would have been great.

I found myself cheering and hoping for an upset all the way through.

I've never had confidence in the suzukis regardless of who is on them and down the straight poor Ol' chris just got flanked both sides at such speed.
Much be very depressing knowing you can ride but not having the bike under you to do the job.
Still he's in 9th on the ladder for now and it still has to be pretty good to say right now I'm the 9th best rider in the world.

Also the post race interview was good. That's the most animated I think I've seen Stoner yet, so looks like he really enjoyed it.
It's nice to see these guys enjoying the competition as much as I like watching it.

Not sure I like Lorenzo but that boy can ride.
He seems to be building in character and skill. If he doesn't win this year I predict he will take in next year.

Also while I didn't enjoy the last race with the swapping of bikes, I must say I was glued to the screen the whole race to see how it would turn out.
I think it adds a little bit of luck to winning the race and ultimately I don't like that but it worked well this time round.

Also I'm starting to be a believer in the control tyre idea.
I don't think I've ever seen so many brands of bike share the pointy end of the pack for quite a while.

Looking like a good season this one boys and we're only 5 races in.

Lots more to come Very Happy Thumbs Up

Soooo comments on the race, the season thus far, control tyres, who's rides have you been impressed with and for the brave ......any predictions ??

Also I'm surprised there isn't more chit chat re the gp going on around the board or am I missing the proper section for it ?

Seems I can read a shedload of stuff on scoots and Ped boys but no GP Confused

Was a good race.

So much more entertaining when its wet and they have to change bikes....

Really pissed with the beeb for knocking the intro off for some jock playing pattercake.....

And where are the highlights of BS and the 125's...... We have a championship leader brit and not a mention of him on the program....
Yes i know the races are avaiable online... But thats not good enough.. Twisted Evil

The 250 race was also awesome if anyone gets the chance to watch it I suggest you do.

Some awesome riding there, shame the Suzuki is so down on straight line speed really.

I personally enjoyed the 125GP the most, at one point, Smith, Redding and Webb 4, 5 and 6. And I was loving how hard Webb was trying, and watching Redding INVENT racing lines on a GP track is bloody good entertainment Laughing

And of course Smith won, which is ace. Thumbs Up

Yep, good call. The 250s was the best race I've seen for ages. There's something so desperate about the guys riding there, they're all so focussed. Something seemingly lacking in the big bikes at the moment.

However, this week's race was a fantastic one alright. I reckon had the race been 10 mins either before or after, we'd have a different winner. Vermulen was awesome from the start, and I reckon Edwards was a bit of a dark horse too... I still can't write the fella off.

Shame that Simoncelli has been fined $5000 and given a yellow card for the attempted overtake where Bautista crashed into him...
I know he had the racing line, but they were side by side on the entry to the corner....
Lucky for both of them that they did not end up in a heap....

But this is starting to get like F1 where any lunge to get passed is penelised.....

Not what racing is all about.

was a good race prefer eurosport coverage to bbc. toseland had a good result Thumbs Up

only problem with motogp is that if your not lorenzo rossi or stoner you dont really have a chance.

im surprised suzuki factory team is as weak as it is surely they should be able to put out a bike that can compete for top spot ?

gotta feel bad for pedrosa, stacking hard on his injury. Thought melandri was gunna o really well, but after changover he dropped down. Alot of shifting going about. Personally my favourite race was the 125 race the weekend before (cant remember the track :S) really challenged those riders alot of stack as well, i know its not nice but makes good tv.

Hayden-Fail
Toseland-Fail(Edwards whooped him....again)
Pedrosa-Fail(the spirit and the pathetically weak body)
Valentino-Fail
Vermulan-Fail(the Chris Walker of wet tracks)..Chris is a Fail aswell

just a different perspective Wink Smile
Nah...it was good racing at Mugello loved the 125s..hope Bradley breaks from his teutonic-ness tho.....Sure hes not Germanic?
I like a good character in my racers.

125 race was great, well done Bradley. Toseland did well but due to the poor coverage of anyone other than the first five, you barely saw James for the whole race let alone any of his overtakes. And felt really sorry for Pedrosa when he went down!

I'm a bit worried if that race was anything to go by. I used to be really into watching motor racing - especially the old Superbike races when they were shown on the Beeb.

But I was hardly on the edge of my seat on Sunday - the drama seemed to be concentrated on the pit lane switch and then lap time differences as riders closed in on each other....that's F1 stuff??

Back in my day riders would dog fight each other right up to the last lap......where's the racing gone?

For the racing it's deinately all about the 125s and 250s. Moto GP doesn't produce particularly great racing very often anymore.
